Twenty year old Shantaia is a powerhouse to watch out for. Singing since she could talk, performing since the age of 5, and playing guitar since she was 6 years old, 2016 truly marked the “kick starter” to Shantaia’s professional career in the music business.
After graduating high school, there was nothing standing in the way of her goals. Shantaia released 2 singles across Canada (that were both recorded with Crystal Shawanda in Nashville), had 2 showcases during 2016 CCMA's, and opened for Charlie Major.
2017 started by opening up for the amazingly talented U.S. star on the rise Kane Brown, playing the After Party Post Awards at SCMA’s, a writing trip to Nashville in April, and signed a Management/Production deal with Doug Oliver at Fairhurst Music Management. While Shantaia was starting on new music with her team, she joined the Chris Buck Band at Country At The Creek Main Stage to sing their duet single with Kira Isabella, played at Country Thunder Saskatchewan in July with her band, had 8 showcases during 2017 CCMA’s, opened up for Emerson Drive, and was given an opportunity of a life time from her FMM team to do a private record label/booking agency showcase in Toronto to end 2017.
The new year is already filling up with shows, such as an opening slot for Chris Lane and summer festival offers, and an almost finished debut EP set for release in 2018.
